The Sunnybrook Observatory

In September of 2005, I decided to have Skyshed build me a 10 x 8 foot roll off roof observatory in my backyard. It was completed on 10/23/05. Originally I was going to build it myself, but I broke my arm and decided to leave it to the professionals. I called Skyshed's upper midwest representative, and in 3 weeks I had an observatory in my yard. I highly recommend Skyshed. They build a nice quality building. It's so nice to not have to setup any equipment before viewing anymore. The Skyshed was the best investment I ever made for my astronomy hobby. Having an obsevatory makes viewing hassle free.

Housed inside the observatory is a Meade 10 inch f/6.3 LX200 on a permanent pier. The pier was made by Skyshed as well. The pier sits on top a 45 inch deep concrete footing. Below is a picture of the inside of the observatory.
